Spruce Grove - Morinville - Mayerthorpe - Evansburg issued

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.

This is an alert to the potential development of severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds.

Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements. If threatening weather approaches take immediate safety precautions.

An upper level jet through Central Alberta combined with a surface low and a moist unstable air mass will allow for the development of severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.
